Vivian Kayitesi is an experienced business leader with more than a decade of experience leading organizations and enterprises to achieve their business goals Vivian is the Executive Director of Urugo Opportunity Center, an innovative social enterprise founded by Women for Women International.
Her multifaceted role covers strategy, leadership, and management of the center to secure an environment in which vulnerable women find support, access resources, and develop life-changing skills.
Prior to this role, Vivian worked as Commercial Attaché at the Embassy of Rwanda in Turkey Consulate, and as Head of Investment Promotion at Rwanda Development Board where she specialized in business investment and trade matters. She was part of the RDB team that developed the investment code, which led to an FDI increase from USD 100Mi to USD 3 Billion over 5 years.
She has been a board member at Business Development Fund Lt and Rwanda Social Security Board. She is an entrepreneur at heart and is interested in figuring out practical ways to support women to reach their highest potential. She currently imports lactose-free milk to Rwanda. Vivian is passionate about the inter-Africa trade. Vivian is a graduate of Concordia University Montreal, Canada, BA in French Studies with a Minor in Business Studies.
