Vanessa IKIREZI is currently an Economic Empowerment Assistant at Women for Women Rwanda (WfW-Rwanda) since December 2024. She is an agriculture Economist with over 5 years of experience in strengthening cooperatives and supporting community-based enterprises. Throughout her career, she has specialized in building the capacity of farmer-owned cooperatives, enhancing financial management, and guiding the development and implementation of strategic plans.
Her experience spans working with various agricultural value chains, where she has helped smallholder farmers improve their productivity through coaching and mentorship on good agricultural practices and postharvest practices, promoting market linkages, and supporting agribusiness development.
Vanessa has worked closely with youth and women in agriculture, she is particularly passionate about empowering women and creating sustainable growth within the agricultural sector. She is deeply committed to community development and continuously seeks to apply practical solutions that address the challenges faced by those she works with.
