Gratien SIWENTEZE NIYO has always believed that everyone has the potential to become successful in their careers. That is why he chose to become an Economic Empowerment.
With 5 years of experience in a career of Economic strengthening and food security in Global communities, where helped women and young people to become self-resilient through Internal Saving and Lending Groups (ISLGs). For 3 years with USAID GIMBUKA, he worked as a District Building Resilient focusing on Adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) and the same attributions for 3 years at USAID TURENGERE ABANA including Positive parenting through the Family’s Matter Program (FMP)and Coaching boys into men (CBIM). As an agronomist he helped Farmers through agricultural cooperatives and making families economically stable through a saving approach teach to make families economically stable.
Nowadays He is working as Economic Empowerment Assistant at Women for Women Rwanda to break the vicious circle of poverty and social exclusion of women and young girls.
In 2013 Gratien had his bachelor’s degree in Rural Development from UNILAK. He also has an advanced Diploma in Agricultural Engineering and Environmental sciences with honors in Agroforestry in 2004 from ISAE BUSOGO.
During his time off from Economic Empowerment duties, Gratien plays the drum. He has always gospel music and believes that music has some healing power in his life. He also sometimes writes his music.
