Chrystel is vastly experienced in GBV prevention and the promotion of women’s empowerment.
She served as Executive Secretary for the Rwanda Women’s Network, helping to create safe spaces for women victims and survivors of GBV; and Programme Coordinator for the Rwanda Men’s Resource Center, an organization that actively engages men in promoting gender justice and preventing violence against women.
In addition to her primary functions, Chrystel is passionate about event management with, on her portfolio, 1) the national coordination of the 3rd Global MenEngage Symposium, hosted in Rwanda from November 2020 – June 2021 to improve the impact and accountability of work around gender equality and women’s rights; and 2) the national coordination of the Global Health Corps Training Institute, a two-week induction programme for Global Health Corps enrollees from across Africa; amongst many others. Chrystel is the co-founder of “Le Village de la femme” a platform created for the purpose of offering spaces to women owners of small & medium enterprises to showcase their ventures, network, and connect with other women entrepreneurs; as well as with SME experts, financial institutions and potential investors.
She is a mother of two girls; who loves traveling, music, and books.
